Come to my cabin

#3

Gilles&Boissier is very happy to leave with his hut on Lake Como. In Italy, Lombardy land, a small sea where Gilles&Boissier had laid down his suitcases for the time of a project. A property that never ceases to make us dream. On Lake Como, Gilles&Boissier imagined the interior architecture, decoration and furnishings of this espaliers holiday resort from head to toe.

temporary exhibition in our boutique apartment at 2 avenue montaigne

until august, 6th 2021

"Vanilla-strawberry"

Gilles&Boissier is preparing for the summer. A fragrance and colours that say a lot about our desire for escapes and materials. We present a new scenography composed of furniture, lights and works by artists.

Come to my cabin

#1

Gilles & Boissier is going on a trip. To Lapland. An extreme land, a child’s dream of a cocoon in the middle of an immaculate white world. We decidedly wanted to leave. A never-ending wanderlust that invents a thousand journeys, from the Arctic to the Equator, and sometimes coming home. And always with a cabin. A tiny house, reduced to essentials, the interior of which is chosen according to the destination. To the question: “What would you bring on an island?”, this cabin answers our life essentials, resting, writing, sharing, enlightening each other and feeding ourselves, here with reading and research.

THE ESSENTIAL "LES CHOSES"

It’s our ideal closet! A selection of Essential Choses, from our art of living, an intentional mess of furniture, light fixtures, other objects and accessories.
Things that we live with and that will be presented to you every month. Can be seen at 2 avenue Montaigne.

OUR ESSENTIALS

ARIA The little armchair

It finds its place fast, in a living room, a bedroom, a bathroom. With small proportions, it efficiently welcomes us.

OUR ESSENTIALS

ATLAS The little table

It is indispensable, facing a sofa, an armchair, a bench, a chair.

OUR ESSENTIALS

SPHINX The nomadic end table

With its light brass feet and its marble or wood top, it playfully moves around a sofa or an armchair.

OUR ESSENTIALS

CIRCÉ The agile chair

Circé the magician morphs. Light, agile, it revolves around a table easily. With its slightly bent beech tree back, it fits the curves of the back perfectly.

NEWEST "LES CHOSES"

ÉOS The floor lamp

Entirely made of brass, its soft and golden light delicately glows up a wall or the folds of a curtain.

NEWEST "LES CHOSES"

DÉLOS The tall lamp

Like a rocky island, Délos stands its ground with its marble base and then lightens, topped with a blackened and golden brass lampshade.

GUEST "LES CHOSES"

Artists or objects that we love, and that are displayed at our showroom, 2 avenue Montaigne

GUEST "LES CHOSES"

ANGÈLE GUERRE - PLASTIC ARTIST

Her drawings, made with long and tedious work, invite meditation and calm. An immediate paradox appears between the sharpness and the lightness and delicateness of the result. She creates sceneries where only the idea, the feeling, are left visible.

GUEST "LES CHOSES"

LÉO CAILLARD - ARTIST

He plays with our relationship with time. By using anachronisms, he invites us to think about the present in light of our past.
A neoclassical world, where antique figures are modernized by contemporary elements.

NEWEST "LES CHOSES"

Punctual wants, spontaneous creations, special orders, these new things give us a new look on a material, a shape, a use. Each month, G&B will show you a few.

THE BOOK

"LA PANTHÈRE DES NEIGES"

By Sylvain Tesson. To be read under a Lapp cabin, next to a stove, searching for the panther…

TRUDON CANDLE

GABRIEL

A flame that warms and fills a room with fragrance. Gabriel announces the warm winter late afternoons. When the flames crackle, and the smell of burned wood and home cooking blend together.
