The Hakkasan experience begins with a journey. From the street or the garden, a long entrance corridor guides the transition between the city and the world of the restaurant. Marked by soft lighting and a calming vegetal atmosphere, this passage invites visitors to leave the urban bustle behind and enter a more intimate stage setting.
Materials contribute to this distinctive visual identity: Calacatta Vagli white marble, black stone, stained wood, embroidered leather and blue-tinted glass form a palette recognizable from one Hakkasan restaurant to another. These noble materials, combined with subtle lighting, create a sophisticated atmosphere where every detail enhances the sensory experience of the space.
At the end of this transitional corridor, the main dining room opens up, organized into a sequence of spaces divided by mashrabiya screens or openwork wooden panels. These structures filter the light and create alcoves known as “Cage” or “Ling Ling,” each with its own distinct aesthetic identity.
At the center, the kitchen and bar appear behind an envelope of deep blue glass. This luminous surface acts like a lantern at the heart of the restaurant, casting a vibrant glow visible through the layered wood and carved marble screens.
