The Bar Rouge at the Baccarat Hotel New York is an intimate setting with a theatrical aesthetic, where every element tells a story. Between the memory of fire, the rawness of material and the brilliance of crystal, Gilles&Boissier imagine an enveloping and intimate space where architecture extends the story of the manufacture.

Crystal is not defined by its brilliance alone. It is born from fire, wood and the physical labour of artisans—an exacting alchemy of heat, strength and precision. This raw dimension inspires the architecture of the space, where material and light recount the very story of crystal.
Beyond a wooden vestibule, the space opens onto a cathedral-like room crowned by a barrel-vaulted ceiling. The atmosphere, both intimate and cinematic, evokes the gallery of a museum. Along the walls, a collection of works sourced at auction engages in dialogue with the world of crystal.
At the heart of the space unfolds Eva Jospin’s monumental artwork: a forest sculpted in cardboard whose layered forms evoke a dense and mysterious landscape. This vegetal presence recalls the forests that once surrounded the Baccarat manufacture.
Underfoot, a painted wooden floor gradually develops a patina over time, reminding us that materials evolve and retain the memory of the hand that shaped them.
