the entrance

As soon as you enter, a monumental work by Lilian Daubisse, titled “Orbes,” catches the eye.

Composed of nine corrugated cardboard spheres, it evokes the passage of time through the growth rings of trees.

A direct homage to the oak barrels that shape Courvoisier cognacs.

the bar lounge - the tasting room

The Bar Lounge, a veritable cabinet of curiosities, offers an immersion into the world of cognac, where light filtered through the bottles creates the illusion of being inside a bottle itself.

The Tasting Room, adorned with engravings by François Houtin, faithfully captures the landscapes of the Charente region:
rolling vineyards, dovecotes, and stone bridges.

To preserve the authentic experience of cognac, Breccia Capraia marble was chosen for its delicate veining and subtle hues.

the founder's salon

On the first floor, the Founder’s Salon embodies the memory and soul of the House. Its dark wood paneling evokes a phenomenon emblematic of the cellars: “the angels’ share,” the natural evaporation of cognac that darkens the walls over time.

This effect has been intentionally incorporated into the decor, highlighting the connection between the aging of cognac and the passage of time.

The space is dominated by a central feature: the portrait of Félix Courvoisier, painted by Véronique Van Der Esch, known for her figurative and realistic style, using exclusively oil on canvas.

Inspired by photographs and sketches, this portrait pays homage to the visionary founder, watching over his legacy with a timeless presence.

the napoleon salon

The Napoleon Salon, bathed in natural light, opens onto a breathtaking view of the Charente, the river that enabled Courvoisier to gain international renown.

This salon is distinguished by a striking work by Molly Gambardella, a pink creation inspired by the organic forms of lichens, horseshoe crabs, mushrooms, and waterways.

Its fluid and vibrant appearance illustrates the connections between nature, transformation, and renewal, echoing the evolution of cognac over time.

dinning room

The living rooms lead one after another to the majestic Dining Room, where a monumental Palissandro marble table takes center stage.

This space is enhanced by the works of Zoé Ouvrier, whose woodcut technique reveals the very essence of the material.

Her pieces evoke bark and skin, highlighting the intimate connection between time, nature, and the crafting of cognac.

bedrooms

Finally, the top two floors house the bedrooms, each decorated with unique wallpaper that affirms its identity.

Before entering, a small lounge welcomes visitors into a cozy and warm atmosphere.
The color palette and choice of furniture reinforce the sense of intimacy and refinement.

Through this renovation, Courvoisier celebrates its heritage and excellence, combining tradition and innovation, craftsmanship and design, in a project where every detail tells a story.
