In Nanjing, one of China’s oldest cities, Moncler has opened a boutique conceived as a dialogue between heritage and modernity. Inspired by the city’s rich history, Gilles & Boissier have created an architecture of contrasts where classical elements, marble, and patinated bronze meet mirrored surfaces and LED lighting. Upon entering, an immersive and theatrical rotunda sets the stage for this interplay of tensions, while a monolith of Saint-Laurent marble defines the central space. Together, these architectural elements create an experience that is both monumental and contemporary.
