réfractions

Gilles&Boissier unveils the new scenography “refractions”. Patrick Gilles and Dorothée Boissier’s laboratory of experimentation, where their intuitions assert themselves, where they dare to use colors, stripes, and side steps.

In the center, the large console is adorned with a mirrored covering. On this reflective base, the glass sparkles, ricochets, and interacts with the silver metal, which reflects a thousand glints. The shapes are influenced by the light, as if animated by their own movement. The pieces come to life in a ballet of sparkles, transparencies, and reflections.

Fragments of glass are placed there, like a foreword to the glassblower’s gesture: the origin of the material and its metamorphosis, brought together on the same plane. A sensitive demonstration of craftsmanship, where the before and after coexist to tell the story of the poetry of materials in the making.

In the other rooms of the apartment, the collection of furniture, seating, and lighting explores the duality of materials between French heritage and contemporary design.
